Why is everyone talking about Irresistable Me?

Let's keep things honest.

I'm not big on extensions. I tried them for a while back during my freshman year of college, and they were too much of a hassle. The whole process of having to section my hair, properly attach the clip-ins, and make sure everything blended well was a pain. Then there was the constant fear that track was poking out or that the extensions would fall out in public. Needless to say I retired my fake hair pretty quickly. So I'll have to be completely honest, when I started seeing a plethora of Irresistible Me reviews popping up all over the blog industry, outside of admiring the extent of their marketing reach (seriously, they've got everyone), I paid it little mind. Clip-ins just weren't for me. But then I browsed their website, and saw they had other products to offer - wigs, hair tools, hair care products, accessories, and the piece that caught my eye the faux pony.

Sites Updates + Issues

A few things.

Comments | Remember when I told you I was switching hosting platforms and it shouldn't affect the site very much? Yeah, well that was before I somehow managed to delete all my comments. I was attempting to move my disqus platform across hosts and through URL mapping and domain migration tools I somehow managed to loose my comments so they display on neither host. The comments are still housed on Disqus, so they aren't completely gone, it's just a matter of figuring out how to get them back on here. So until then we're back to good ol' Blogger-hosted comments.

Social Media | Not sure if any of you noticed, but I've been changing my social media handles around recently. No worries, they are all back to @hellozauni for now, but I just wanted to keep you guys in the loop. I'm planning on overhauling my social medias, so they will change eventually, but I'll give you guys a heads-up when to expect all that. Until then if you see a bunch of changes happening on my social medias, just ignore them - it's just me testing things out.

I completely understand now why people pay others hundreds of dollars to help them migrate from one platform to another. I've been doing it all by myself, and I've run into a bunch of roadblocks. It's been a headache, and it's caused a lot of issues, but I have no doubts I'll get it done in the end. I just wanted to keep you guys updated and why things may look a bit messy around here, and why all your lovely comments disappeared. I'm working on it, I promise.

Catch up with you guys soon.

March Letter to You

Possibly my longest monthly letter, but then again I've been quiet for weeks so I think it balances out, no?

January Booklist

Last year I had a goal to read 150 books in a year, and well, I kind of lost track and forgot about it all together. This year I don't have a numerical goal, but rather a goal to infuse literature back into my life. Reading used to be such an ingrained, voluntary activity in my daily routine. In my adolescence, there was no question on how I spent my free time – nose buried in the latest literary work in which I’d been absorbed. Once college hit, that changed. Leisure reading was quickly replaced with mandatory texts, and if there is anything that will curb my appetite for prose it’s being forced to read 200+ pages on social theory.
